Bridge Tender Inn

By land or by sea, this enchanting location is a wonderful find!
This historic Bridge Street location on Bradenton Beach features tranquil views of Sarasota Bay with sailboats bobbing in the breeze or the twinkling lights of Sarasota and Bradenton at night. The casual bar, separate dining room or patio, afford great seating to capture it all.
We relaxed with cocktails and appetizers of Crab Cake and Sweet & Spicy Jumbo Shrimp. Served with a caper butter sauce, the Maryland Cake was meaty and succulent with only a dusting of crumbs to hold its shape. As for the Shrimp, that was my favorite! Six lightly breaded golden beauties fried then tossed in a sweet and spicy Oriental glaze. EXCEPTIONAL!
I continued with the Grouper Special, fresh from the Gulf, sautéed, then glazed with a balsamic soy sauce and topped with tomatoes and garlic. This was served with a colorful array of steamed mixed veggies and new potatoes. Although my intentions were to take half this large portion home, I managed to nibble away the remaining morsels.
The Specialty of the House, Raspberry Pecan Duck was a wonderful choice for my spouse. A Semi-boneless crisp half duck served with fresh veggies and rice. I was able to extract a few samples.
By all means, save room for the Romanoff, their signature dessert! Raspberries, strawberries and blackberries hand blended into vanilla ice cream finished with Triple Sec topped with whipped cream and fresh grated chocolate. It’s FABULOUS!
Maybe, you’d prefer more chocolate?
The Godiva Pie is the perfect blend of chocolates folded into fresh whipping cream and finished with Godiva Liqour. Served atop a chocolate cookie crust, you can’t go wrong!
Other course selections include Catfish, scallops, shrimp or oysters, Shrimp Scampi, Dijon Glazed Salmon and more
Of the Meats you’ll find New York Strip, Filet Mignon, Chicken Breast, Chicken Schnitzel, Liver with Onions and fantastic Baby Back Ribs.
Pasta and Rice dishes are also available.

DIRECTIONS: From Tamiami Trail (US 41) head west on Cortez Rd., cross over the bridge to Bradenton Beach. Turn Left on Gulf Drive, go to Bridge St. (at the Circle) and turn left. Go 1 block, restaurant will be on the right.
