Looking for Elegant Perfection? This is One of THE BEST in Town!!! Off the beaten Trail is a magnificent dining experience located on nearly 3 acres with pristine lake, manicured gardens, walking bridge and gazebo. Enter an inviting Bistro with adjoining patio and spectacular water and garden views. A hallway leads beyond two intimate dining facilities reserved for small groups and special occasions to a magnificent main area amidst walls of glass featuring a panorama of lake and garden tranquility. When it comes to special places like this... The question is...to splurge or not to splurge...Oh, Why not! The night was ours...Let’s make it Sinful!!! So, with cocktails in hand, my spouse and I sampled a Crab Cake, Escargots and Sea Scallop appetizers. The large cake, full of delicate meaty morsels, was accompanied by a Remoulade that had just the right amount of zest...Then there was the house specialty ...Escargot. Traditionally served en-crock with garlic herb butter and warm crusty rolls, these gastropods were plump, succulent little treasures; while the generous sized scallops were tantalizing atop a subtle white truffle broth. Refreshing spring salads in light vinaigrette cleared our palates for a spectacular main event. Entrees... I chose the Rack of Lamb, the House Specialty. Served with a bouquetiere of fresh vegetables on a mirror of mint sauce, it was presented as I wished... medium rare and melt in your mouth fantastic! My spouse enjoyed a heavenly roast Duckling accompanied by a black Bing cherry, peppercorn sauce that complimented each juicy, meaty morsel. Please note... Both dishes were colorfully presented with braised red cabbage, spinach and mashed potatoes. That′s a novel idea... many restaurants fail to embrace! Dessert is highly recommended at Roessler′s! The Créme Caramel crowned with threads of caramelized spun sugar sprouting from a heavenly mound of creamy flan is OUTSTANDING. The Parfait Roessler, vanilla ice cream rolled in homemade almond brittle finished with orange liquor and whipped cream is a favorite, while the Flambé desserts are off the charts!!! Not only do they have Bananas Foster and Crepes Suzette, but also, my FAVORITE, the Crepes Swiss... Mounds of coffee ice cream with almond filled crepes floating on a pool of chocolate sauce flavored with créme de menthe, Kaluha and slivered almonds. Now this dessert... was EXCEPTIONAL... and I ate it all!!!
